HI, I’M DREX WRIGHT.

My practice is inherently humanistic and somatically based, I believe we all have an internal striving toward health and wholeness. Relational issues or traumatic experiences can lead us to think, feel and relate to ourselves in ways that do not value our inner knowledge, health and resources. We will work together to restore talents, strengths and abilities that have been taken over by problematic stories. By retelling these stories and experiences with preferred outcomes we can reconnect to your dreams and goals, this often helps people develop new strategies for change and increased happiness and satisfaction.

I utilize Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Sensory Motor Psychotherapy and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) to assist individuals in developing a curious and flexible attitude about issues exchanging reactive behavioral patterns for more adaptive strategies.

I have a Bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Vermont and a Masters degree in counseling from Johnson State College.

I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in the states of Vermont and New York. I offer both in person and Telehealth mental health counseling.
